Honor 400 Series to Make Global Debut in Malaysia, More Details Coming May 8
KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 — Hot on the heels of the Honor 400 Lite’s Malaysian debut, Honor has confirmed that the rest of the Honor 400 series will soon be launched globally — with Malaysia among the first countries to receive the new smartphones. The company says this strategic rollout underscores Malaysia’s significance as a key market, especially in the South Pacific region.
While Honor Malaysia has yet to officially confirm which models will be introduced, recent leaks suggest that two additional smartphones — the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro — will join the previously launched 400 Lite.
A firm launch date has not been announced, but Honor has confirmed that more information will be revealed on May 8. The new devices are expected to feature Honor’s most advanced AI Imaging technology to date and will include the AI Camera Button, first introduced on the Honor 400 Lite.
Expected Specs: 200MP Cameras and Flagship Chipsets
Although official specifications have not been released, leaks indicate that the standard Honor 400 may feature a 6.55-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. The Honor 400 Pro is expected to offer a slightly larger 6.7-inch screen with similar specs.
Under the hood, the Honor 400 is reportedly powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, while the Honor 400 Pro could be equipped with the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
Camera capabilities are also a highlight, with the base model rumored to house a 200MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. The Pro variant may add a third 50MP telephoto lens for enhanced zoom functionality.
Both models are said to include a 5,300mAh battery, though they may differ in charging speed. The Honor 400 is expected to support 66W fast charging via USB-C, while the Pro model could offer a faster 100W charging option.
